The property (meadow + forest) covers an area of approximately 1 hectare and has its own access road. The alpine hut has its own spring, electricity, a water concession, and a small pond.

There is also a small apiary on the property. The property is located in an agricultural zone.

San Martin de Tor is one of the five Ladin municipalities in the Gadertal (Val Badia). It includes the villages of Pikolein, Campill, and Untermoi and covers an area of about 76 km², ranging in elevation from 1,115 m to 1,515 m. The highest-altitude hamlet is Untermoi, located at the foot of the Peitlerkofel, the municipality’s local mountain. The place name St. Martin was first mentioned in documents dating back to 1260, in connection with a church.

This unspoiled municipality has about 1,700 residents and is particularly popular due to its location in the Dolomites. Culture is also a major focus here - St. Martin in Thurn is home to the Ladin Provincial Museum, Ciastel de Tor, as well as the Ladin Cultural Institute, Micurà de Rü. In addition, visitors to Campill can explore the Mühlental valley with its “Viles,” one of the most traditional types of settlements in this region. Nature is another major attraction in St. Martin in Thurn - the Puez-Geisler Nature Park and the “pale mountains” offer opportunities for relaxation in every season.

In winter, it’s off to the slopes! The access point to the Kronplatz ski area is just 1 km from St. Martin. The slopes of the Sellaronda in Alta Badia are also accessible via a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes. Cross-country skiers, on the other hand, can enjoy the 6.5-km-long panoramic trail at the foot of the Peitlerkofel.
